The Letter D

Last week we did the letter D for our Alphabet Summer and talked about dinosaurs. For one of our big activities, we took the kids to the Dinosaur Museum. It was the perfect week to go because the museum was celebrating their 9th birthday. They had a lot of little extra activities that the kids could do for free.

Our kids LOVE the Dinosaur Museum and it made it an even better trip with the extra activities they had going on. The kids got to do a scavenger hunt through the museum and at the end they got a "Dinosaur Tooth", they got to color their own Prehistoric Bug, feed a dinosaur with a Nerf gun, go fishing with a dinosaur, color a dinosaur mask, and get their faces painted (however, Emily couldn't make up her mind about the face painting thing and after standing in line a couple of different times and then finally sitting down with her, she decided she didn't want her face painted :( ).

To end the day, the kids found a couple of dinosaur books to be read for their bedtime stories.

Later that week, for another big activity, we took the kids to feed the ducks. The kids had been begging us to take them all week, so on Friday, we finally went. They love feeding the ducks and we do too because it is free! ;D

Emily loves watching them and Bryce loves chasing them! After Bryce had chased them all back into the water, he couldn't figure out why they wouldn't let him get close to them when he ran towards them!
