Blair works at the city pool during the summer for a little extra $ and one of the benefits we get from that is that we get to go swimming for free. The funny thing is is that he has worked there for five years and we have never gone! So...since we did the letter S, we took the kids Swimming at "daddy's pool". We went with Blair's brother and his family and it was so much fun! The most popular thing with the kids was the Slide. We went down that thing I don't know how many times! Even Emily couldn't get enough of it! However, since I'm not the best picture taker and the batteries were running out, I wasn't able to get pictures of it. :(
Later that week we did the letter O. For this letter we talked about Outer Space. We read "On The Moon" and watched "Space Chimps". One of the days the kids pretended like they were on a space ship and were walking on the moon and on other planets. Bryce even collected things from the planets for "scientific research".

Then we made Outer Space sugar cookies. The kids loved cutting out planets, stars, astronauts, and the letter O. We decorated them with frosting and sprinkles and the best part was eating them. Yummy!
We wanted to take the kids to the planetarium, but ran out of time. Maybe we'll go there for a last hurrah before school starts.
