Mighty Hunters!

This last weekend was the opening of the deer hunt (for those who don't know. I didn't until I married into a deer hunting family and became a widow for a couple of weekends in October.) Blair has gone every year since he was 7 with his dad, brother, and some family friends. It is definately a tradition.

They haven't had much luck the last few years, with the exception of Clay's deer a couple of years ago. But that was the first one any of them had gotten in the last six years that Blair and I have been together.

Well, this year all three that drew out got a deer. All three points. And all within an hour of each other. It was amazing and totally unusual for them!
When they got home, we headed up to Blair's parents house to check out his "trophy". Bryce didn't know what to think of it. He just stared at it and didn't say a word!

The kids and I are glad daddy got his deer last weekend, so that he can be home with us this weekend!
