With A Little Bit of Pixie Dust...

This year Emily was big enough to pick out what kind of birthday party she wanted, so we went down the birthday supplies aisle at the store and she picked Tinkerbell - of course. She LOVES Tinkerbell!

We had a birthday party with both sides of our family the Saturday before her birthday (that way her uncle could come down from school for her party). It is always fun to get together. However, we didn't do anything exciting. We just ate dinner, Emily opened her presents, and then we had cake and ice cream.

Emily was so spoiled! She got a lot of cute clothes and a lot of fun toys. She is set for awhile! It was fun this year because she knew what was going on and could open her own presents. We're not sure if she understood exactly what a birthday was, but she knew that it was her special day.
Since we celebrated her birthday on Saturday, she kind of had two birthdays. On the day of her birthday, both grandparents came over and she opened a few more presents from Grandma and Grandpa K. and from us. She shares a birthday with her little cousin, Tytan and his birthday party was that night, so we went to his party and Emily's aunt went above and beyond the call of duty and made not only Tytan his own birthday cake but made one for Emily too! They had matching bear cakes (except that one was a boy bear and the other was a girl bear)! They were so cute! However, Emily doesn't like cake, so hers went untouched. (Sorry!) But it's the thought that counts!
