The next morning he was still a little nervous, but so ready to have his tooth feel better. When we got there, he did everything the hygienist told him to do and she complimented him on being so good for her. (I think that made his day!) When the xrays were developed, he ended up having four cavities...yeah...
So he got moved to another chair and got to have the laughing gas. It was kind of funny to watch him because you could tell he was so relaxed and kind of out of it. He kept pulling on the laughing gas nose and letting it flip back up, then he would start laughing and was so entertained....it was definitely working. The dentist then came in and fixed the tooth that was bothering Bryce and he just laid there and did whatever the dentist told him to do. He didn't even flinch when the doctor numbed the area around the tooth. When the dentist was finished, he too complimented Bryce on how good he was and told him that he was one of his best patients. Bryce was on such a high the rest of the day because his tooth was feeling better and because the dentist told him he did so well.
However, after the numbing stuff started to wear off, Bryce didn't like the tingling feeling and it started to hurt again a little and Bryce said, "Mommy, I need to go back to the dentist. He forgot to fix my cheek. It's feeling weird!" So to that, we gave him some Tylenol, and everything was much better.Since the dentist only fixed the one tooth, Bryce got to go back two more times to get the rest of them taken care of. And every time Bryce did really well. (And he was excited to pick something out of the treasure box every time!)
